- What does Pier Standard cost?
- A monthly fee that scales with the size of the harbour. No setup fee, no development costs, no one-off payment. On top of that a 10 % share, but only on berths sublet through Pier Standard — when the harbour earns, Pier Standard earns. We name the figure in the demo, because it depends on how many berths you have.
- Who is Pier Standard for?
- For marinas, harbours and boatyards — and there for the people who run them: owners, management and harbour masters. Pier Standard covers the whole operation, not just letting berths.
- How is this different from berth-subletting portals?
- They sublet berths, and that is all. In Pier Standard subletting is one module among many: occupancy and contracts, workshop jobs and materials, quotes, the customer portal, staff and invoicing are all tied to a single case.
- Is Pier Standard already running in a real harbour?
- Yes. Schiffswerft Laboe on the Kiel Fjord uses it day to day. Pier Standard was built together with them.
- Where is our data held?
- On servers in Germany, encrypted, with real-time backups. Processing is GDPR-compliant with a data processing agreement, and document storage follows the German GoBD rules. E-invoices go out as ZUGFeRD and XRechnung, and there is a DATEV export for your accountant.
- Do we have to start from scratch?
- No. Your existing data is imported, so you start with your own berths, customers and contracts rather than an empty system. What that means for your operation is something we go through in the demo, using your own workflows.
- Do we need new hardware?
- The admin side runs in the browser, on the office computer just as well as on a tablet at the pontoon. The till adds an iPad; it meets the German requirements for a certified technical security device.
